Welcome to All Ports Yacht Club (APYC) which is a 29 year old yacht club. For the past eighteen years we have enjoyed the hospitality of Venetian Marina as our home port. Currently close to ninety percent of our members call Venetian Marina their home port.
We welcome you to come to one of our regular monthly meetings. Meeting dates our posted on the web site calendar and also posted in the Venetian club house. Our yearly activities include cruises around the western bay of Lake Erie. Our monthly meeting also usually includes some sort of social event proceeding the meeting. These social events will provide time for you to get to know our members and share your boating stories. On of our most popular events is the Commodore’s Poker Run which will be held on July 3rd. This event helps raise funds for the next years Commodore’s Ball. Our meetings start in May and conclude with our clam bake in September.
The Membership also volunteers their time and boats for a charity day cruise benefiting Christy Lane. Our members also assist with the Venetian Marina Regatta. Worried about what to do during the off season? We also enjoy participating in the I-LYA, AYC, and GCBA Commodores Ball’s. APYC also holds its own commodore’s ball to honor the incoming officer’s. These winter activities will help allow you to get away for a weekend, catch up with your boating friends and chase the winter away.
APYC is a member in three main boating organizations on Lake Erie: Associated Yacht Clubs (AYC), The Greater Cleveland Boating Association (GCBA), and Inter-Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA). These memberships provide many benefits to the APYC members. One of the most significant benefits is the reciprocal docking benefits many of the clubs provide. This will allow you to travel to other marina’s and get discounted docking. The host members will also welcome you as their own. In addition these organizations represent the interest of us as boaters with governments at the local, state, and federal level.
So what are you waiting for? Please consider joining APYC and make new friends, learn from fellow boaters and travel Lake Erie. I hope you will consider visiting us this season. You are not required to dock at Venetian Marina. You can download an application from our website link at the bottom of the page. Complete the application and send it to our Vice Commodore Meg Oeder.
