Dear Prospective Member:

All Ports Yacht Club is a 28 year-old yacht club, which has enjoyed the hospitality of Venetian Marina for the past seventeen years.  Presently, more than 90 percent of our membership calls Venetian Marina their homeport.

First, we would like to welcome and invite you to attend one of our regular monthly meetings. Our yearly activities include many cruises around the Western Basin of Lake Erie and Canada. In addition to our trips, we hold monthly meetings beginning in May, and will run through end of September closing out the year with our annual clambake.  At all of our meetings, we usually have some food provided by the club.  One our most popular events during the boating season is our Commodore’s Poker Run held on July 4th, which helps raise funds for next years Commodore’s Ball.
 
The membership also volunteers their time, and boats, for a charity cruise benefiting Christy Lane.  In addition, our members assist with the Venetian Marina Regatta and help with various educational events throughout the year.  During the winter months we enjoy participation in the I-LYA, AYC, and GCBA Commodore’s Balls.  APYC also holds its own Commodore’s Ball to honor incoming officers.  These winter activities are a great way to get away for a weekend, see old friends, and help chase away the winter chill.

APYC enjoys membership in 3 main boating associations on Lake Erie: the Associated Yacht Clubs (AYC), the Greater Cleveland Boating Association (GCBA), and the Inter-Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA).  Involvement in these organizations benefits our members two ways. First, most yacht clubs in the Great Lakes region will treat you  as one of their own, extending all the rights and privileges of their clubs. Second, through the GCBA, the club receives representation in local, state, and federal government matters that benefit all boaters.

Please join us this season!  It is a great way to make new friends, get better acquainted with fellow boaters, and travel the Great Lakes.  I hope you will consider visiting us this season, whether you dock at Venetian Marina or any of the other fine marinas on the lake. If you wish to join us, please download a membership application from our website (found at bottom of this page).  The completed application should then be mailed to our Vice Commodore, Rob Ross.  His address is detailed on the application.
